Wednesday's drawing is the third-largest lottery jackpot in US history and Powerball's second-largest of all time, according to lottery officials. Those tickets were sold in Arizona, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey and NY, and two were sold in California.

New Yorkers were winners in the last three drawings of 2018, and the state is home to several second -prize tickets.

Saturday's Powerball jackpot will be $40 million.

A single ticket sold in Wisconsin matched all six numbers in the Wednesday night Powerball drawing to win the third-largest jackpot in USA lottery history.




CA Lottery also said in a tweet that one ticket in San Mateo and one in San Jose matched 5 of the 6 numbers.

"The lucky ticket holder (s) will have the choice between an estimated annuity of $768.4 million, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or a lump sum payment of $477 million". This is the 17th time since 1988 that a winning Powerball ticket was sold in Wisconsin.

· However, they did not play the Megaplier option, which would have increased their winnings to $3 million.

Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. The last MI resident to hit the big jackpot was Julie Leach of Three Rivers who won $310 million in 2015. The drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. Each ticket is worth $2,000.
