Halo: The Master Chief Collection Announced For PC With Halo: Reach Added

That's all changing. In the company's Inside Xbox show, Microsoft confirmed that the Halo Master Chief Collection is finally making its way to PC, bringing with it almost every single Halo FPS.

Halo Infinite is described as Master Chief's greatest adventure yet to save humanity. With it coming to PC and running at both 60 FPS and with graphics up to 4K, this will likely be the definitive edition of the collection.

Since the collection will be released in individual titles, they will also be sold as such. This is something the team is very passionate about. Because of this staggered release schedule, cross-play between PC and Xbox One does not appear to be in the cards, at least for the moment. "We can't afford to wait three years every time we drop a new product and have it be a black box because the games kids are playing are changing every week".

Video game stories from other sites on the web.

"We're embarking on a journey with our community to build a PC experience that delivers on PC gamer expectations", community director Brian Jarrard said.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is in the works for PC and now available for Xbox One.

But we know what they'll play first - Halo: Reach, the prequel released in 2010 for the Xbox 360. Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, the Halo 3: ODST Campaign, and Halo 4. There's also some kind of plan to "evolve and grow" each of the games with community input, though it's not clear how extensive those post-release plans are.

To help get everything polished up to spec, they've brought in a pair of extra studios, Ruffian and Splash Damage, to help with the adaptation. No release dates were given for the release of this collection on PC aside from the confirmation that Halo Reach will be the first one to arrive in the near future.
