Alicia Keys Rolls Out the Grammys 2019 Red Carpet!

Taylor Swift's hit album "Reputation" received only one nomination.

The 61st Annual Grammys is coming this weekend. That being said, the couple ended up empty-handed the last couple of years - Beyoncé's Lemonade losing out in the album of the year category in 2017 and Jay-Z getting nothing despite having eight nominations in 2018.

Keys, who along with husband Swizz Beatz was honored last year on her birthday by the Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers wing for their overall contributions to music, will be the first woman in 14 years to host the show. Charlie Wilson, who's nominated for best traditional R&B performance for his collaboration with Lalah Hathaway, will also be presenting. Ludwig Goransson earned "Black Panther" another nomination for his work on the film score and will enter the evening with four total nominations for his work on the film and as a producer for longtime collaborator Childish Gambino. Post Malone's "Beerbongs & Bentleys" is up album of the year, as well as Cardi B's "Invasion of Privacy".

Alicia Keys - a 15-time Grammy victor and 29-time nominee - has reached another career milestone: hosting music's biggest night.

The ceremony will feature a star-studded lineup of performers including nominees Janelle Monae, Kacey Musgraves, Brandi Carlile, H.E.R., Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Dan + Shay and Post Malone.

This year, some big names were left out of the major categories which struck many fans by surprise, especially with the expansion of nominees for this year's awards.

South Africans will be happy to know that The Soweto Gospel Choir has been nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award.

A TV commercial cut off Drake's acceptance speech for best rap song ("God's Plan"), which is too bad, because he actually was in the midst of making a good point about awards shows: "We play an opinion based sport, not a factual based already won if you have people singing your songs word for word, if they're singing in your hometown".

If that's not reason enough to tune in on Sunday night, the list of performers at the GRAMMYs is sure to make this event the hottest ticket in town.
