Key Matchups to Watch as Seahawks Square Off with Chargers

In the Seahawks' convincing Week 8 victory over the Lions, Russell Wilson had a "perfect" game in which he averaged over 14 yards per attempt.

The Chargers' Caleb Sturgis missed two extra points and a field goal in the team's 25-17 win over the Seahawks on Sunday. At the end of the day, Seattle plays well at home and given the weakness in the Chargers' secondary, Wilson should have a great day at the office. Wilson scrambled for 16 yards to the Chargers 28 and, after a spike, Seattle had 30 seconds left.

Eight plays went for more than 20, including a game-long 54-yard pass Keenan Allen hauled in early in the second quarter.

Seattle did not stop the run, giving up 7.3 yards per carry to the Chargers and letting Melvin Gordon run for 113 yards and a touchdown. Philip Rivers was the offensive standout of the match for the Chargers, as he passed for 306 yards and 2 touchdowns. Most costly, he misread coverage and threw a pass that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. On the final play of the game at the one-yard line, Wilson's final attempt for Moore in the back of the end zone was tipped by safety Jahleel Addae and fell incomplete to cap off the game. Fluker didn't play late in the game due to the injury and was replaced by C Joey Hunt playing out of position.

The injury kept McDougald out for most of the second half, leaving second-year Delano Hill to take over the reins.

Carson had been listed as questionable on the injury report with a groin problem, but wasn't on the inactive list the Seahawks released before the game.

NOTES: Carroll said G D.J. Fluker (calf) appeared to be OK.

"We've just got to do a better job", Clark said.

Sturgis made 9 of 13 field goal attempts and 9 of 15 PATs in six games this season.
