Did White House share doctored video of incident involving CNN reporter?

Acosta had been questioning Trump about his claim that a caravan of migrants posed a threat to the US when the president turned on the journalist. Acosta joined a room of other journalists in questioning the president after the mid-term elections, and the topic of immigration came up.

During a news conference that morning, President Donald Trump called Acosta a "rude, awful person" as Acosta challenged the president's claims about Central American refugees fleeing to the U.S.

Meghan McCain was also distraught at the discourse on display, posting, "I got 4 hours of sleep last night and can't emotionally deal with Trump's presser right now". Acosta questioned Trump's reference to the caravan as an invasion, and Trump defended the term. Instead, Acosta continued with a second question about the Russian investigation, which Trump shrugged off with another curt answer.

That's when Acosta interjected and attempted to ask another question, about indictments in the Russian Federation investigation. "Jim Acosta has our full support", CNN said. He said that "I can do something fantastic, and they make it look not good".

"Secretary Sanders lied", CNN said in a statement, saying the press pass suspension was "done in retaliation for challenging questions".

So, it was understandable when the media and people around the world demanded an explanation for why Acosta was being barred from the White House and the obvious repercussions it could have for freedom of the press, government transparency and our democracy itself.

Trump accused a PBS reporter of posing a racist question when she asked him about white nationalists. "We will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior clearly documented in this video", Sanders wrote on Twitter.

Invoking the words of a fellow writer, Rowling cited George Orwell's 1984 to denounce the White House's actions. They are not only risky, the are disturbingly un-American. Trump then said he wanted immigrants to "come in legally".

"Obviously I don't think anybody should have-any young woman, particularly-should have somebody swiping away at them and grabbing the microphone back", she added.

Some news organizations are now also speculating that the White House's video of the incident has been "doctored" from the original footage.

"I think you should let me run the country. I'm sick of him being the story, I'm sick of talking about Jim Acosta", she said.

The "actual fake news" hysteria started after Sanders announced that Acosta's hard pass had been revoked "until further notice". "You are a rude, awful person".

Sanders said Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his administration.
