Here’s the federal court criminal complaint against Cesar Sayoc, mail bombing suspect

The latest suspicious package comes just hours before a federal court hearing was to begin in Miami for 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc, whom authorities accuse of sending explosive material to Democrats and other prominent critics of President Donald Trump.

The van that federal agents are investigating in connection with package bombs that were sent to high-profile critics of Trump is transported on a flatbed tow truck.

Sayoc is expected to appear before a judge in Florida on Monday.

Mr. Trump said he found the press obsession with Mr. Sayoc's political leanings untoward and compared it with coverage of the man who attacked Republicans at baseball practice previous year, gravely wounding House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana.

Sayoc, who has NY ties and was born in Brooklyn, was arrested Friday in South Florida.

The FBI said the package to Booker was intercepted in Florida. Wray said the investigation was "active" and cautioned that there could be more bombs still undiscovered.

- Attorney General Jeff Sessions made an official announcement Friday regarding the arrest of a suspect in a mail bomb case that has gripped the world of politics this week.

FBI Director Christopher A. Wray said that the bureau was still trying to determine if Sayoc's bombs were "functional" but noted that they contained "energetic material" that could be risky.

Sayoc can be seen in the video hoisting a "CNN Sucks" poster, covered with the same kind of imagery found on his van.

Authorities have not said whether the van seized in Florida was linked to Sayoc. Coworkers say he was DJing at a club the night before he was picked up by the FBI, Myre reports.

Following the arrest, speaking at an event for young black conservatives, Mr Trump said "we must never allow political violence take root in America", saying the country "must unify".

Sayoc, who reportedly lives in Aventura, Fla. also had a telling history of lobbing threats on Twitter; but even when those threats were reported, Twitter inexplicably failed to act.

Officials said they expect Sayoc will be moved to New York City swiftly where he will face indictment on multiple criminal charges. He added that Sayoc belongs to a group of men who "have been led to believe, [they] were and are under attack by the likes of Hillary [Clinton] and Michelle [Obama] and all those "feminazis" who've had but one mission: political castration".

He further stated, "If you pause on him you will see something profound...fear in his eyes". The tweet warned her to "hug your loved ones real close every time you leave" home.

"I've received messages before from people who like to call me the N-word or the B-word or things like that, and I usually brush that off".

"Honestly, I think this president's whole modus operandi is to divide us", Rep. Adam B. Schiff, California Democrat, told CNN's "State of the Union" program on Sunday.

Fiori said within minutes he heard a small explosion, probably a device police use to distract people.
