Demaryius Thomas talks trade rumors after Broncos loss

While Thomas has already heard his name mentioned in trade rumors, Tate seemed surprised to hear that he was being targeted by the Patriots.

After missing out on Amari Cooper as a result of the Dallas Cowboys acquiring the former Oakland Raiders receivers in exchange for a future first-round pick, Thomas seemed like a possibility for the defending champions, whether it seemed like a long shot or not. Thomas will join Houston, and play his now former team the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Broncos Blitz podcast host Ronnie Kohrt breaks down the trade and what it means for Denver moving forward.

First and foremost, trading Thomas to New England would give him a legitimate shot at a second Super Bowl title. Recently Broncos coach Vance Joseph summed up the reason to throw the ball Sutton's way with "it's either a big play down the field or a penalty on the guy who's covering him".

By the time they open another, Thomas' career will be in its twilight, and who knows?

The Patriots have some history with similar in-game disciplinary actions.

Let's take another look at what players could go, why they could go, and what teams might be interested. In eight games this season, the 30-year old WR has just 36 receptions for 402 yards and three touchdowns.

If the Broncos were winning a lot of games and playing at a high level, Thomas would not be going anywhere.

This trade would make so much sense for both parties, no matter how tough it would be for Broncos Country to see Thomas in any other team's colors, even New England's.
