She spoke a year ago with senior adviser and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, who also hosted Wednesday's session. He was only twenty-six years old.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is hoping to help 30-year-old Chris Young after he was sentenced to life in prison for marijuana and cocaine possession after being arrested in 2010; Kim believes it was an "unfair" harsh sentence.

Kim also claims that she's been in contact with the former Tennessee judge who sentenced Young to life. He's been in for nearly 10 years'.

Celebrity sighting at the White House: Kim Kardashian arrived on Wednesday for a meeting on prison reform.

Kardashian West opened up about her experience with Young during an interview on Jason Flom's Wrongful Conviction podcast. "We have to change the laws", Kardashian West said in a statement released by #cut50, a group that looks to reduce incarceration time.

Kim also revealed that she is now in regular contact with President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner as he too is "passionate" about changing the USA sentencing laws.

According to previous Leaf-Chronicle reports, Young, aka Soulja C, was sentenced to life in prison in 2014 after he was convicted in federal court on drug and firearm charges.

"Yesterday, I had a call with a gentleman that's in prison for a drug case - got life", she said on the podcast. Kim also says she's in regular touch with Jared Kushner, who she says is "passionate" about prison reform ... especially in drug cases where the sentences are draconian. "I get stacks of letters daily that inmates write me, so I love to read them and go through them and hear their stories".

Kardashian last visited the White House three months ago to press for a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson. Thank you so much for that, ' one of the followers posted. "I mean, I already knew just by talking to you on the phone and just seeing you in videos, but I mean, you are everything and more than I ever thought".
