Baker Mayfield, Saquon Barkley electrify in their preseason debuts

By now, everyone has lived (and relived) the woeful 2017 New York Giants season. In two drives, Taylor went 5-of-5 for 99 yards, including a 36-yard TD down the seam to TE David Njoku (more on him shortly), for a flawless passer rating (158.3).

9 - The Giants had nine possessions with five plays or fewer. Barkley gives the Giants' backfield a tremendous shot in the arm, something that was sorely missed a year ago when the team generated just 96.8 yards on the ground per week. With an improved offensive line in front of him, the dynamic running back out of Penn State could unleash a reign of terror on the National Football League starting in East Rutherford on Thursday.

5 - Tyrod Taylor was 5-for-5 for 99 yards and the aforementioned touchdown to Njoku before exiting.

Mayfield returned in the third quarter to spin additional magic, rolling to his right on a third-and-7 from his own 22 to find rookie Antonio Callaway along the sideline for 24 yards.

After one more three-and-out late in the first half, Mayfield got three second-half series that extended into early in the fourth quarter.

Giants defensive end Kerry Wynn forced a C.J. Board fumble on a Browns punt return that long snapper Zak DeOssie recovered. Riley Dixon averaged 44.2 yards on his 10 punts, including one dud and one 62-yard bomb.

141 - Number of penalty yards the Browns had on 13 penalties, including two for taunting.
