Tibbetts was last seen July 18 at a friend's home in Brooklyn, Iowa, where she was dog sitting.

Tibbetts's boyfriend, Dalton Jack, told ABC News she went for a run around 10pm. THE SEARCH Jack said he was still away and didn't know anything was amiss the next morning, and he even sent her a message.

"She might have a FitBit on and she might have her cellphone, but obviously we've tried just calling her".

"She's an incredibly responsible, intelligent person".

"The entire community was taking part in the ground search over the last two days, so many neighbours were not at their homes at the time of the first neighbourhood canvas", she wrote.

The extensive search efforts near her home have so far been unsuccessful. "There is no such thing as a silly tip or lead". Heaston told KWQOC-TV that Tibbetts had been excited for her second year of college at the University of Iowa and had a trip planned for the Dominican Republic the upcoming week. The snap contained a selfie Tibbetts took, and Jack said she appeared to be inside. "Helicopter and drone searches do not indicate that any fields in the area have been disturbed or damaged".

"She's the person who would be there for anybody, so that's kind of why I'm doing what I'm doing, because I know she'd do it for me", Holland says.

The Poweshiek County Sheriff's Department and the state department of criminal investigation provided no new information Sunday beyond "the search is still ongoing".

Ms Tibbetts is a 20-year-old student at the University of Iowa.

Tibbetts' mother, Laura Calderwood, still has "no idea what happened to her", the Cedar Rapids Gazette reported Monday. "We will never stop looking for you Mollie Tibbetts!". She is about 5 feet 2 inches and 120 pounds with long brown hair and brown eyes.

She was on a jog and was wearing a black sports bra, gym shorts, and running sneakers.

Investigators seized the laptop Molly to get access to her social networks, email and online accounts - in the hope of finding there at least some sort of clue.

Officials continue to search for Tibbetts.

They knew something was wrong when she failed to show up for work the next day.

While the family has been limited with what information the Poweshiek County Sheriff's Office has disseminated to them, Calderwood praised the hard work by authorities.
