OnePlus 7 with 5G support to launch next year

There is no doubt that the phone is stamped with the OnePlus, which has drained a lot of OnePlus, should not be the OnePlus 6T (if it exists one day) but the OnePlus 7. But future devices could be coming in more than just unlocked form as the 5G era creeps in.

Aside from 5G network, what different highlights could be accessible on the OnePlus 7?

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is gearing up to release one of the first 5G-enabled mobile devices next year, and the device will reportedly be launched via a carrier in the U.S. Lau also shared that his firm aims to produce a 5G smartphone by 2019.

While talking with PC Mag this week, during the Mobile World Congress Shanghai, the CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau said that the company's already "working with United States carriers" as it's also planning to launch a 5G smartphone sometime next year. So, partnering with U.S. carriers would be a good move in North America.

He did not speak anything about launching a 5G smartphone in India.

OnePlus 6 is here with some super specs at a reasonable price. Lau didn't say if OnePlus was looking to work with one specific USA carrier or not, although because of its Qualcomm chipset, it could theoretically be made available on any of them.

At the moment, OnePlus sells its handsets directly to consumers without any carrier deals. But Lau's keynote address at the trade summit in China, where he was one of the guest speakers at the Global Device Summit panel discussion, certainly gets the ball rolling.

Given that 5G is realistically some time away from a global roll-out, OnePlus offering support on its 2019 devices might be innovation too early.

In previous years, OnePlus managed to release smartphone models with premium features and specifications that can fairly give Samsung and Apple handsets a good fight.
